Food feeds our bodies. Stories feed our souls. And we need both to build community.
To celebrate our 20th anniversary, community radio KMRE presents Whatcom in Food & Stories—a one-night-only event on May 7th at the Ferndale Events Center. Doors open at 6:30. Six local storytellers and twenty local restaurants and food artisans will share their stories—and their unique creations—bringing culture, tradition, and connection to life.
Speakers include former Washington poet laureate Rena Priest, noted local historian Anna Booker, and Darrell HIllaire, founder and CEO of Children of the Setting Sun Productions...and more! To find out more about the speakers and the restaurants, go to WhatcomStories.org.
Join KMRE for an evening that nourishes both body and soul. Tickets are $125 dollars, or $200 for two-- and are available now at whatcomstories.org. Whatcom in Food & Stories is sponsored by: Brett, McCandliss, Brown, & Conner, Calypso Kitchen and PNW Plateful. It's going to be a one-of-a-kind evening-- we'll see you there!
